An Illinois corporation claims a Utah company owes it more than $50,000 for materials it supplied.
Highland Supply Corporation filed a lawsuit Dec. 16 in Madison County Circuit Court against Milgro Newcastle and Milgro Nursery.
In its complaint, Highland alleges it delivered merchandise to the defendants. In return, Milgro Newcastle agreed to repay Highland $52,692.28 while Milgro Nursery promised to reimburse it $7,222.22. However, both companies have failed to repay their debts, according to the complaint.
Although Highland has demanded the money from the defendants, they have failed to repay the money due, the suit states.
In addition to the money it says the defendants owe it, Highland seeks pre-judgment interest at 18 percent per annum and costs.
Christopher P. Threlkeld of Lucco, Brown, Threlkeld and Dawson in Edwardsville will be representing it.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-1387.
