A Belleville man has filed suit against the driver who he claims attempted to make a left turn and rammed into his vehicle.
Jason F. Clasquin claims he was driving east on E. Main Street in Belleville on April 29 when defendant Mark R. Aman II, who was driving in the same direction, attempted to turn left and struck Clasquin's vehicle.
Because of the collision, Clasquin became sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled and experienced pain and suffering, according to the complaint filed Sept. 12 in Madison County Circuit Court. In addition, he incurred medical costs, the complaint says.
Aman negligently failed to maintain his vehicle under proper control, failed to exercise reasonable awareness of his surroundings and failed to exercise ordinary care, the suit states.
In his complaint, Clasquin is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Stephen R. Clark of Courtney, Clark and Associates in Belleville will be representing him.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-510.
