A Madison County man and his wife are suing the driver of the car that allegedly rear-ended him while he was driving in Fort Russell Township.
Lynn D. and Beth Jones filed a lawsuit Sept. 1 in Madison County Circuit Court against Earl G. Cathorall.
Jones says he was driving north on Illinois Highway 159 in September 2009 when he was hit from behind by Cathorall's car. Jones claims the crash left him seriously injured.
Jones and his wife accuse Cathorall of negligence and are also suing for loss of consortium. They ask for more than $100,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court costs.
