Swansea nursing home sues former resident claiming fraud

A Swansea nursing home claims one of its former residents engaged in fraud and owes it more than $5,000.

Petersen Health Care II doing business as Swansea Rehabilitation and Health Care Center filed a lawsuit July 15 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Roderick Howard.

In its complaint, Petersen alleges fraud against Howard, but does not specify how he allegedly engaged in it. In addition, Petersen says Howard owes it $5,000, plus interest, but refuses to pay it, according to the complaint.

Petersen is seeking a judgment of $5,000, plus interest and costs.
