A St. Jacob woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims rear-ended her vehicle.
Barbara Semon-Chambers claims she was driving north on Interstate 255 on Sept. 16, 2009, when defendant Nathan Klosterman, who was driving in the same direction, struck the back of her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Semon-Chambers became sick, sore, lame and disordered and experienced pain and suffering, according to the complaint filed Aug. 15 in St. Clair County Circuit Court. In addition, she incurred medical costs, suffered disability, lost her normal life, experienced a diminished capacity to enjoy life and lost wages and her earning capacity, the suit states.
Klosterman negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, drove in such a manner as to strike the rear of her vehicle, followed her vehicle too closely and failed to properly apply her brakes, the complaint says.
Robert H. Pedroli Jr. and Daniel J. Gauthier of Pedroli and Gauthier in Clayton will be representing her.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-460.
