A Nevada corporation has failed to pay more than $100,000 worth of debt, according to recently filed court documents.
Contegra Construction Company filed a lawsuit Aug. 24 in Madison County Circuit Court against Energy Ventures One.
According to the complaint, Contegra lent Energy $141,581 on March 6 in a promissory note. However, Energy has since failed to make required payments, the suit states.
"As a direct and proximate result of the breach by Energy Ventures of its obligations under the Promissory Note, and after all offsets and credits due and owing to Energy Ventures, Contegra has been damaged in the amount that remains due on the Promissory Note, namely, the sum of $157,767 for principal, interest and late fees as of August 22, 2011," the complaint says.
In addition to the money it says Energy Ventures One owes it, Contegra seeks pre- and post-judgment interest, plus attorney's fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Henry F. Luepke of The Stolar Partnership in St. Louis will be representing it.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-841.
