A St. Clair County woman is suing the driver of an SUV that allegedly ran a red light and crashed into her.
Julie Cleamer and her husband, Terry Cleamer, filed a lawsuit in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Patricia Gillen.
In January, Julie Cleamer say she was driving north on Green Mount Road in Belleville. At the same time, Gillen was driving east on Carlyle Avenue, near the intersection of Green Mount Road. Cleamer claims Gillen red ran a red light and crashed into her.
Cleamer says the vehicle she was driving at the time of the crash was owned by her husband.
Julie Cleamer accuses Gillen of negligence. Terry Cleamer is suing for loss of consortium with his wife. The couple is asking for more than $100,000 in damages for medical costs, lost wages and court fees.
The Cleamers are represented by attorney Steven Katzman of Belleville. They ask for a jury trial.
