Swansea woman claims injuries in Cahokia accident

A Swansea woman is suing the driver of a car that allegedly crashed into her.

Jocelyn L. Pirtle filed a lawsuit against Ann V. Seibert Jan. 24 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Pirtle says in February 2009 she was a passenger in a car being driven west on Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia. As they approached the intersection of Paris Avenue, Pirtle claims Seibert, who was driving east, tried to turn left onto Paris Avenue and crashed into the side of the car where she was sitting.

Pirtle accuses Seibert of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages to compensate for her injuries, lost income and court costs.

Attorney Ronald J. Foster Jr. of East St. Louis is representing Pirtle.
