A Madison County man wants to be paid more than $50,000 after he was rear-ended by an alleged drunk driver.
In a lawsuit filed Jan. 28 in Madison County Circuit Court, Randell Ellis accuses Terry W. Homer of negligence for allegedly causing the crash.
Ellis claims he was driving westbound on Illinois Route 140 near the intersection of Park Road in September 2010. Ellis says Homer, allegedly driving while intoxicated, crashed his 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis into the back of Ellis' Volvo.
Ellis seeks at least $50,000 in damages to cover medical expenses and court fees.
He is represented by attorney Michael P. Glisson of Alton.
