A hearing is set Thursday in St. Clair County as discovery continues in an Edwardsville woman's suit against Chrysler and other companies she claims were involved in the ultimate failure of her PT Cruiser's seatbelt.

The hearing on all pending motions in the suit brought by plaintiff Jennifer Levy is set to begin at 9 a.m.

Levy is suing the Chysler Group LLC, Honeywell International Inc., Progressive Insurance Company and Quad City Salvage among other defendants for injuries she claims to have suffered in a roll-over car accident.

The plaintiff contends that Honeywell made a defective seatbelt that was then placed in her PT Cruiser, a car made by Chrysler.

She claims that she broke her pelvis and suffered injuries including a detached ear because her seat belt disconnected in the crash, allowing her to be ejected from her car.

She is suing Progressive and Quad City Salvage for allegedly failing to preserve her car as promised so it could serve as evidence.

The plaintiff is also suing the car dealer involved in the deal.

The suit seeks damages in excess of $50,000 and other relief per count of the complaint.

It is also set for a status conference in April.

Thomas and Peter Maag represent Levy.

St. Clair County Circuit Judge Lloyd Cueto presides.

The case is St. Clair case number 10-L-532.
