A Missouri man who claims he was rear-ended by a Fedex delivery truck wants more than $50,000 from the company.
Anthony Taylor filed a lawsuit against Stephen L. Herring, Fedex Freight Inc. and the company formerly known as Fedex Freight East Inc. on Jan. 24 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Taylor says he was driving west on Interstate 70 in January 2009 near Marine Township. He says he was forced to slow down due to heavy traffic.
Taylor says Herring, driving a Fedex Freight truck, drove up behind him and crashed into the rear of his vehicle. Taylor says he hurt his neck and back in the crash.
Taylor is asking for at least $50,000 for medical expenses, lost wages and court costs.
Attorney Creighton J. Cohn of Clayton, Mo. is representing Taylor. They ask for a jury trial.
