A St. Clair County woman claims paramedics, a doctor and a hospital allowed her relative to die.
Jane Bango, on behalf of the estate of Jacob N. Bango, filed a lawsuit against Mark Bearth, Robert Morrow, Dr. Michael Barron and St. Joseph's Hospital Dec. 22 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Bearth and Morrow are paramedics who treated Jacob Bango in January 2010. Jane Bango claims the paramedics failed to properly administer CPR. They also allegedly gave Jacob pain medication before securing an airway.
Because of their alleged negligence, Bango says, Jacob died. Bango claims the hospital physician, Dr. Barron, and the hospital staff were also negligent in providing care for Jacob.
Bango is suing for wrongful death and asking for more than $250,000 in damages. She is represented by attorney Joseph A. Bartholomew, of Belleville.
