A Madison County man is suing a local casino after he allegedly had his finger slammed in a door.
Lee W. Bollinger and his wife, Della, filed the complaint against Alton Gaming Company, also known as Argosy Casino Alton, on Nov. 29 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Bollinger says he was gaming at the Argosy Casino in March 2009 when he tried to go outside to the second floor smoking area. He says the door blew back so quickly and with such force that it slammed shut on his finger.
Bollinger contends the casino failed to provide a safe environment by allowing the door to remain in such a dangerous condition. His wife is suing for loss of consortium because of her husband's injury. They are asking for $100,000 for medical expenses, lost wages and attorney fees.
The Bollingers are represented by attorney Randall P. Steele of Glen Carbon.
