A case management conference is set in a product liability suit against Ford Motor Co. stemming from a car that allegedly burst into flames and destroyed a Granite City man's garage.
Madison County Circuit Judge Andreas Matoesian has previously denied Ford's attempts to have the case dismissed.
The conference is set for May 26 at 9 a.m.
Plaintiff Danny Dawson alleges that defects in his father's 1997
Lincoln Town Car caused it to combust, causing a fire that destroyed Dawson's garage in December 2007.
The fire allegedly caused more than $100,000 in damages.
Dawson's suit seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorney's fees, costs and other compensation.
Ford had tried to have the suit dismissed earlier this year, citing the fact that Dawson did not own the car at the time of the fire and that there were differences in the plaintiff's timeline.
Dawson is represented by Todd Sivia of Edwardsville.
Ford is represented by Michael Borree of Chicago.
The case is Madison case number 09-L-1305.
