A bank claims a couple owes it more than $60,000 for an unpaid loan.
Fifth Third Bank filed a lawsuit May 3 in Madison County Circuit Court against Robert D. and Linda S. Pyles.
Fifth Third claims it delivered a loan to the Pyles on May 5, 2004.
Since then, however, the Pyles have failed to make all loan payments on a timely basis, according to the complaint.
"The Defendants are in default and through the date stated on Plaintiff's Affidavit, a copy of which is marked Exhibit 'B,' attached hereto and incorporated as though more fully set forth herein, there is due and owing to Plaintiff the sum of $63,642.59," the suit states.
In addition to the money Fifth Third claims the Pyles owe it, it seeks attorney's fees of $350, pre-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Markoff and Krasny of Chicago will be representing the bank.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-475.
