A woman claims she received neck, shoulder and back injuries after a driver sideswiped her vehicle.
Tarsha Eldridge filed a lawsuit March 12 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Christopher Jordan.
Eldridge claims she drove east in the 7900 block of Marybelle Avenue at its intersection with 79th Street in East St. Louis on Dec. 30 when Jordan, who drove south on 79th Street at the same intersection, failed to yield to Eldridge and struck the side of her vehicle.
In addition to her injuries, Eldridge was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled; incurred medical costs; suffered disability; experienced pain and suffering; and lost wages, according to the complaint.
Eldridge blames Jordan for causing the collision, saying he failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to properly apply his brakes, drove too fast, failed to yield at a stop sign and failed to reduce his speed to avoid a collision, the suit states.
Eldridge seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Thomas C. Rich and Jennifer L. Barbieri of Fairview Heights will be representing her.
