A man says his neck, head, back, right shoulder, hand, right and left legs and right and left knees were injured after the Madison County Transit bus he was riding suddenly stopped.
De'Angelo Saddler says he was a passenger in a Madison County Transit vehicle, which was traveling in Collinsville on May 12, 2008.
Suddenly, the vehicle stopped, causing Saddler "to be thrown violently to the floor," the complaint filed June 19 in Madison County Circuit Court says.
In addition to his injuries, Saddler was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled, incurred medical costs, suffered disability, experienced pain and suffering and lost wages, according to the complaint.
The Madison County Transit driver failed to keep a proper lookout, drove the vehicle in such a manner as to cause it to stop suddenly, failed to properly apply her brakes and drove too fast, the suit states.
Saddler is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Thomas C. Rich and Jennifer L. Barbieri of the law office of Thomas C. Rich in Fairview Heights will be representing him.
