Belleville attorney sues man who vandalized home and hit occupant with golf club

A Belleville attorney and two other individuals have filed suit against a man who they say damaged their property and hit one of them with a golf club.

Timothy S. Richards and Janice M. Richards claim Richard H. Elceser vandalized their property at 410 Covered Bridge Lane in St. Clair County on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18.

Scott A. Richards, who was living at the property at the time of the occurence, claims Elceser hit him with a golf club on Oct. 18.

All three plaintiffs sustained damages from the incidents, according to the complaint filed May 22 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

In the two-count suit, the Richards are seeking $100,000, plus costs.
Timothy S. Richards, an attorney at Neville, Richards and Wuller, will be representing himself and the other two plaintiffs.
