Troy family sues neighbor over child's dog bite injury

The parents of a Troy boy are suing their neighbor over a dog bite injury.

Roger and Arlene Martin claim their son, Blake, was riding his bicycle on Hassinger Street in Troy when a dog owned by Jerald and Debra Mosher attacked and bit him without provocation.

A suit was filed in Madison County Circuit Court on May 14. The incident happened May 9, the suit claims.

The Martins, who reside at 110 Hassinger St., claim the Moshers, who reside at 108 Hassinger, did not cage, leash or restrain the dog.

Blake Martin suffered injuries and endured pain and suffering, the suit claims.

The Martins are seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages, plus the amount of medical expenses that have been incurred.

The Martins are represented by Curtis Dawson and Michael Hertz of Edwardsville.
