Missouri man sues Fast Eddie's over beating injuries

A Missouri man says he was struck repeatedly and incurred head, shoulder and rib injuries while visiting an Alton business.

Greg Pancoast filed a lawsuit May 1 in Madison County Circuit Court against Eddie Sholar Jr. and Bon-Air, Inc.

Pancoast says he was a patron at Fast Eddie's Bon-Air on Aug. 25, 2007, when he was struck repeatedly and without provocation by Sholar.

In addition to his injuries, Pancoast claims he was made sick, sore, lame and disordered, incurred medical costs and suffered disability. He also experienced pain and suffering and lost money from a loss of wages, the complaint says.

In the two-count suit, Pancoast is seeking a judgment of $100,000, plus costs.

Kirk A. Caponi of Williams, Caponi, Foley and Eckert in Belleville will be representing him.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-451.
