Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard Charitable Foundation announces charities

The Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard Charitable Foundation, Inc. announced its designated charities for 2009 include Community Women Against Hardship (CWAH), Hospice of Southern Illinois, Ride on St. Louis (ROSL) and Sunshine Ministries.

The charities will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from various activities and events held by the firm throughout the year.

"We are pleased to work with such great organizations in the coming year and to assist in their fundraising efforts," said Timothy C. Sansone, chair of the Foundation.

The Foundation's top four charities will benefit equally from the Foundation's annual events, which include a bowling tournament, Texas hold 'em tournament, the firm's Thanksgiving luncheon and a holiday bake auction.

In addition, the Foundation has selected charities that will benefit from one or more smaller events at the firm such as jeans days. These charities include the Central Institute for the Deaf (CID), Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition of Greater St. Louis, Inc. (FACC), the Humane Society of Missouri and Toys for Tots.

Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard has 70 attorneys and offers a broad range of legal services, including representation in the areas of health law, products liability defense, business litigation, estate planning, labor and employment law, financial institution law and business transactions and counseling. The firm has offices in St. Louis, Edwardsville and Carbondale.
