Greenmount Road accident is subject of suit

An O'Fallon woman claims she was injured after an O'Fallon man rear-ended her vehicle.

Rachel E. Arlt was driving south on Greenmount Road in Shiloh on Oct. 3, 2007, when Kevin Crooks, who was driving behind her, struck her as she was stopped waiting for traffic in front of her to move, according to the complaint filed Feb. 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Because of the collision, Arlt lost income, incurred medical bills, suffered a loss of normal life and suffered pain, the suit states.

Arlt claims Crooks was negligent by driving too fast, by failing to keep a proper lookout on the road, by failing to yield to other traffic and by failing to keep his vehicle under control.

Arlt is seeking a judgment in excess of $75,000, plus costs.

Jon E. Rosenstengel of Bonifield and Rosenstengel will be representing her.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0086.
