Michelle Hooper has filed suit against Darryl Misukonis, alleging her neck, back and right knee were injured after an accident.
Hooper was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier north on Maryville Rooad while Misukonis was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger south on Maryville Road and attempting to make a left turn onto Morrison Road, according to the complaint filed Feb. 11 in Madison County Circuit Court.
While trying to make his turn, Misukonis hit Hooper's vehicle, the suit states.
In addition to her injuries, Hooper claims she incurred medical expenses and lost wages.
Misukonis was negligent by failing to yield the right-of-way, by failing to keep a careful lookout, by failing to signal an intention to turn and by driving at an excessive speed, according to the complaint.
Hooper is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs, interest and other relief the court deems just.
She is represented by Matthew J. Sauter of Sauter and Sullivan in St. Louis.
