June Williams has filed suit against Felix Brimm, alleging her husband was killed while riding on his motorcycle after Brimm struck him.
Louis B. Williams, June Williams' deceased husband, was driving his motorcycle on Illinois Route 3 on Aug. 19 when it was struck by a vehicle Brimm was driving, according to the complaint filed Feb. 13 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the accident, Louis B. Williams died, leaving behind his wife and one child, the suit states.
Brimm had a duty to use reasonable care in operating his vehicle so as to avoid colliding with another motorist, but breached that duty, June Williams claims.
She is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
She is represented by Jerald J. Bonifield of Bonifield and Rosenstengel in Belleville.
