William J. Morgan has filed suit against John F. Miller, alleging he was injured after Miller collided with the front end of his vehicle.
Morgan was driving south on Washington Avenue near Wilkinson Avenue in Alton on Feb. 16, 2007, when Miller, who was driving southwest on Washington Avenue "violently collided with the right front end of plaintiff's vehicle," the suit filed Feb. 5 in Madison County Circuit Court states.
Because of the accident, Morgan was made sick, sore, lame and disordered, suffered injuries to his neck and suffered a loss of earning capacity, the suit states.
He also claims he experienced pain and suffering, incurred medical expenses and suffered disability and disfigurement.
Miller was negligent by failing to keep his vehicle under proper control, drove too fast, failed to brake or steer to avoid a collision and failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles, according to the complaint.
Morgan is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
He is represented by Rodney D. Gaffey of LakinChapman in Wood River.
