A Maryville man has filed suit against a Collinsville woman, alleging he sustained serious injuries and his vehicle suffered property damage after she rear-ended him.
Richard C. Jamieson was driving south on Keebler Drive in Maryville on Aug. 2, 2005, when Beth Caselli, who was driving in the same direction, struck his vehicle in the rear, according to the complaint filed Jan. 26 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Jamieson's serious injuries and property damage cost him more than $50,000, the suit states.
Caselli was negligent by failing to keep a proper lookout, by driving at an excessive rate of speed and by failing to keep her vehicle under control, Jamieson alleges.
Jamieson is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
