Leo F. Feldman has filed suit against Angela M. Townsend, alleging his neck, back, knees, right shoulder and abdomen were injured after a collision.
Feldman was driving his 2004 Pontiac Bonneville west on Illinois Route 62 and waiting to turn south onto Vadalabene Drive in Maryville when the accident occurred on July 11, according to the complaint filed Nov. 14 in Madison County Circuit Court.
At the same time, Townsend was driving her 2004 Chevrolet Aveo west on Illinois Route 162 near the same intersection, the suit states.
Because of the accident, Feldman sustained a full-thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon and a fracture of the greater tuberosity resulting in permanent restrictions of the use of his shoulder, he claims.
Feldman claims Townsend was negligent because she drove too fast, failed to reduce her speed and drove in a "grossly negligent and reckless manner."
Feldman is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000 and unspecified punitive damages.
John H. Leskera of the Leskera Law Firm in Collinsville will be representing him.
