Andrew M. Campbell has filed suit against James A. Buckels and Joshua L. Walker, alleging he was injured after a multiple car accident.
Campbell was a passenger in a vehicle Andrew C. Wentz was driving south on Illinois Route 203 near its intersection with U.S. Interstate 55/70 in Madison County, according to a complaint filed Nov. 13 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Wentz was stopped at a red light when Walker collided with Buckels, who then collided with Wentz, the suit states.
Because of the accident, Campbell claims he suffered pain and permanent disability, incurred medical expenses and lost wages.
Buckels and Walker were negligent because they drove too fast, drove too close to the back of a vehicle, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to stop, slow down, swerve or avoid a collision, according to the complaint.
In the two-count suit, Campbell is seeking a judgment in excess of $100,000, plus costs.
He will be represented by Brad L. Badgley of Belleville.
