Allstate has filed suit against Miesha T. Jackson, claiming one of its insured customers was injured in an accident with Jackson.
John E. Dunavan, an Allstate customer, was driving west on Route 15 in Alorton on Oct. 7, 2006, when Jackson, who was driving east on the same road, collided with him, according to the complaint filed Sept. 24 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Allstate claims Jackson was negligent because she operated her vehicle in a careless manner, drove too fast, disregarded traffic signals, failed to give a warning signal and failed to stop her vehicle.
Allstate paid Dunavan's medical costs and for costs to repair his car, according to the complaint.
Dunavan was responsible for $100 of the repair costs, the suit states.
Allstate is seeking $112,778.61, plus court costs.
Bruce K. Shapiro of Northbrook will be representing the company.
