Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City has filed a breach of contract suit against Young S. Choe, alleging she failed to pay her medical bills.
According to the complaint filed Sept. 8, Gateway provided Choe professional medical services on April 12, 2007, totaling $27,151.25.
"The Plaintiff has made repeated demands upon Defendant and Defendant has failed to pay any part thereof," the complaint states.
"The Defendant is not entitled to any credits or setoffs," the complaint also states.
Gateway is seeking a judgment of $27,151.25 plus $2,965.25 in attorneys' fees, costs of the suit and interest to the date of the judgment.
The hospital is represented by Dorian LaSaine of Peoria.
The case is awaiting mandatory arbitration.
