Jennifer D. Mark S. and Alisa D. Churchwell have filed suit against Boyd K. Turley, claiming they were injured after a rear-end collision.
Alisa was driving a vehicle east on Illinois Route 143 at its intersection with Giger Road on Sept. 22, 2006, when it was hit from behind by Turley, according to a complaint filed Sept. 17 in Madison County.
Jennifer was a passenger in the vehicle, the suit states.
Alisa and Jennifer claim they sustained injuries of a personal and pecuniary nature.
Mark, Jennifer's husband, claims he has and will continue to suffer the loss of consortium of Jennifer.
They claim Turley was negligent because he failed to keep a proper lookout, drove too fast, failed to decrease his speed and followed the Churchwells' vehicle too closely.
In the three-count lawsuit, the Churchwells are seeking a judgment in excess of $150,000.
They are represented by Edward T. McCarthy and Stephen B. Wohlford of Edward T. McCarthy & Associates in Edwardsville.
