Drena Chaney has filed suit against Ashley Kochel and Tina Sneeringer-Crane, alleging she was injured in an accident.
Chaney was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Sneeringer-Crane when it collided with another vehicle driven by Kochel, according to a suit filed Sept. 16 in Madison County.
Sneeringer-Crane was driving her 1994 Ford Taurus south through a Walgreen's parking lot when Kochel, who was pulling her 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier out of a space, collided with them, the suit states.
Chaney claims she suffered personal injuries, some of which may be permanent, including those to her head, neck, shoulders and back.
She also has suffered disability and great pain and mental anguish, according to the complaint.
In addition, Chaney has become responsible for medical costs, the suit states.
Chaney claims Kochel was negligent because she failed to keep her vehicle under proper control, failed to keep a proper lookout for other cars, failed to stop her vehicle before colliding with Sneeringer-Crane's, failed to give a proper signal and drove without adequate brakes.
