Swansea Care & Rehabilation Center is being sued by the estate of resident Dorothy Frolker, who allegedly suffered severe and permanent injuries after falling at the nursing home last year.
According to the complaint filed June 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, the center failed provide adequate staff to ensure Frolker's safety, failed to properly train staff, failed to prevent Frolker's fall and failed to follow its own procedures in providing care.
The incident occurred March 25, 2007, the complaint states.
Represented by Jack Carey of Belleville, Frolker's estate is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages, plus costs and attorney's fees.
