A man who suffered an ankle injury while setting up a stage at Pop's Bar in East St. Louis is suing a production company and promotions company for damages in excess of $150,000.
William Jacob Tucker of Madison County claims that on June 20, 2006, while he was assisting in the assembly of a stage, part of the structure collapsed onto his leg and foot.
According to the suit filed Dec. 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Tucker is a sound technician employed by Pop's.
Tucker alleges he suffered a bi-malleolar fracture of the right ankle with tissue damage that resulted in an open reduction and internal fixation.
He claims he has incurred lost wages in excess of $5,000, and medical expenses in excess of $25,000.
Tucker has named Spectrum Production Services of Minneapolis, and Hunt Industries and its president Joshua Hunt of Lawrence, Kan., as defendants.
He is represented by Frank J. Carretero of Bollwerk & Ryan in St. Louis.
