A jet skier who got bopped in the head with a beer bottle is suing the man who allegedly threw it at him on the Kaskaskia River last year.
Nathan Marlen is seeking in excess of $100,000 in compensatory and punitive damages from William M. Mulconnery for intentionally throwing the bottle at him from his "large" boat on July 22, 2006.
"That the Defendant's beer bottle struck the Plaintiff upon the head and broke, causing severe lacerations and loss of blood, resulting in disability and disfigurement which has caused him and will cause him in the future to suffer great physical pain, mental anguish and loss of a normal life," states the complaint filed Nov. 27 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Marlen, represented by Matthew J. Marlen of Belleville, also claims lost wages and medical expenses.
