A woman who sustained injuries to her knee and rotator cuff after tripping and falling on a Troy sidewalk filed a personal injury suit against Troy claiming the city failed to maintain its sidewalk.
Phyllis Glenn claims she was walking on the sidewalk on July 26, 2006, near 52 Oakbrooke.
Represented by Bruce Cook of Belleville, Glenn claims that prior to her fall, Tory was aware that the sidewalk had uneven surfaces that posed a hazard to pedestrians.
She claims Troy failed to keep the sidewalk reasonably safe, failed to use care in maintaining or repairing the sidewalk and failed to warn of a defective sidewalk condition.
Seeking damages in excess of $50,000, Glenn claims her injuries caused pain and suffering, mental anguish and medical expenses.
