Metro-Link passenger David Tweedy is seeking in excess of $25,000 from Metro/Bi State Development Agency for injuries he sustained when a train operator started moving before he was seated.
Tweedy claims the train "jerked and jolted," causing his right leg and all the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, membranes and soft tissues thereof to be bruised, contused, wrenched, sprained, strained, torn and rendered swollen, irritated and inflamed.
The incident took place July 18, 2006, after Tweedy boarded a train going west from the Belleville station.
He is represented by Joseph K. Robbins of The Robbins Law Firm in St. Louis.
Tweedy claims he has lost his ability to enjoy life and participate in social and recreational activities, and that he has incurred medical expenses.
