To the editor:
As I read the hilarious column by John J. Hopkins (July 24), my curiosity was aroused.
The writings of many lawyers are easily detected for they are full of long, looping, senseless diatribe. I found Hopkins listed as a lawyer in a phone book.
Hopkins refers to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch editorial praising toothless reforms of Chief Judge Ann Callis.
Callis should publicly disassociate herself from any riverboat gambling owner cliques for the upcoming elections.
Do any local Illinois judges, state or federal, still own gambling stock?
