In the court division where plaintiffs seek in excess of $50,000 in damages, Debra Dattoli-Bounds filed the 100th civil lawsuit in Madison County Circuit Court on Jan. 30.
Dattoli-Bounds is suing Barbara Lacquement over a Feb. 12, 2005, car accident.
Dattoli-Bounds claims she was driving her car westbound on Illinois Route 140 in Bethalto when Lacquement allegedly collided with her causing injuries to her neck, head and arms.
According to the complaint, Lacquement negligently and carelessly failed to reduce her speed in order to avoid a collision, drove her car at an unreasonable and improper rate of speed for the conditions that existed and failed to keep a proper lookout for other motor vehicles.
Dattoli-Bounds claims her injuries have caused pain and suffering, a disability, medical expenses, lost wages and diminution of future earning capacity.
She is represented by Lance Mallon of the Mallon Law Firm in Wood River.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Don Weber.
