Whether you're a sophisticate or novice, there's nothing snobbish about the expert treatment you'll receive at Crushed Grapes wine and spirits shop.
Owners Len and Arlene Scatturo established the business six years ago bringing an extraordinary flourish to the Edwardsville shop.
"Our passion is wine," said Len Scatturo. "The more we can educate the more you can appreciate what you're drinking regardless of the price--whether it is a $5 bottle of wine or a $500 bottle."
The business, which features gift baskets, in-house wine tastings, private tastings, catered events and more than 2,000 product labels, celebrated its sixth year of service by hosting a series of complimentary wine tastings.
Located at 1500 Troy Road in Edwardsville, Crushed Grapes also has a private party and banquet room with a seating capacity of 40-50.
"Service is our number one priority," said Scatturo. "You can host an event and we'll bring everything to fit any budget or any theme."
Prior to opening the shop, Scatturo spent 23 years in the wine and spirits business, working for a distributor.
He also takes pride in the knowledge and experience of staff members dedicated to meeting customers' needs.
"We want to know what you're looking for," Scatturo said. "We'll match your food to a good wine."
