Bank of Edwardsville v. Gary Towler

  • The bank alleges Towler is in default on a promissory note and is in breach of contract. The bank is seeking a judgment of $211,949.49, plus $35.81 per day in interest plus all legal fees and court costs.

    Arthur Layton v. Illinois Central Railroad Company and Nation Railroad Passenger Corporation

  • Layton alleges from 1950-1980 he was exposed to asbestos, diesel exhaust, environmental tobacco smoke, welding fumes and other toxic gases causing him to be diagnosed with a respiratory illness. Layton is seeking at least $150,000 in damages under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act.

  • Blacknell claims the pots she received as a housewarming gift in early 2005 were not properly designed. A pot handle broke causing hot water to severely burn her leg. Blacknell is seeking at least $50,000 in damages.
