Suit against Four Flags dismissed

Circuit Judge Daniel Stack dropped a lawsuit filed against Four Flags after the plaintiff, Nathan Grant, filed a motion to dismiss the case.

Grant filed suit against Four Flags Motors on July 18 in Madison County Circuit Court alleging the Edwardsville car dealership violated the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act by making a number of false representations which induced him to purchase the vehicle on May 18.

The suit was dismissed on Sept. 28.

Grant alleged that a salesman told him the car was "like new" and concealed the fact the car had a "junk title."

He was seeking a judgment against Four Flags for all actual, punitive, and other damages to which he is entitled, a court order rescinding the transaction, attorney fees and costs, and any other relief the court deemed just and proper.

Grant was represented by Gregory Moss of Krohn & Moss of Chicago.
