A trip over fence post leads to suit against Nonna's restaurant

Nonna's Restaurant

Margaret Starr filed suit against Nonna's Restaurant in St. Clair County Circuit Court July 13 seeking more than $15,000 for injuries sustained when she allegedly tripped over a fence post in the Belleville restaurant's parking lot.

The suit claims claims Nonna's failed to maintain its property in a reasonably safe condition when she injured herself July 20, 2003.

According to Starr, Nonna's failed to repair and maintain its parking lot, failed to remove the hazardous fence post, failed to warn her of the danger and negligently placed black top up to the perimeter of the fence post so the post was hidden.

Starr claims she sustained injuries to her head, neck, face, back and shoulders resulting in permanent disability and disfigurement, great physical pain and mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses.

Starr is represented by Belleville attorney Lisa Pennock.
