Jeff Hebrank
Jeffrey Hebrank of Burroughs, Hepler, Broom, MacDonald, Hebrank & True in Edwardsville won the Record's recent reader poll asking which Metro-East attorney would win if selected to participate in NBC's new reality drama, The Law Firm.
While the competition was stiff among the 10 named attorneys (see results) in the Record's poll, Hebrank held off Ted Gianaris of SimmonsCooper, who garnered many write-in votes.
“Jeff Hebrank is one of finest courtroom attorneys and is the most pleasant and knowledgeable colleagues I have ever worked with,” said Mark Phillips, a partner of Nelson Mullins in South Carolina, who handles asbestos defense.
Hebrank, an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and golfer, used to coach little league baseball teams.
“He was the best coach, he made sure every kid on the team got a chance to play regardless of their skills,” said a Hebrank supporter who dropped by the Record office to inquire whether poll results were final.
Before joining the Burroughs firm in 1986, Hebrank practiced law at Walker Williams, and then took over the law practice of Circuit Judge Daniel Stack when he moved to the bench.
Besides Gianaris, other write-in votes included Madison County States Attorney Bill Mudge, Charles Armbruster of The Lakin Law Firm and Bill Lucco of Lucco & Brown in Edwardsville.
