Graduates of East St. Louis' Assumption High School, which closed its doors more than 10 years ago, will be gathering for a 30-year reunion Nov. 26.
The former high school building is now a state prison facility.
Monica Threlkeld asks that graduates and teachers contact her for more information at P.O. Box 236, O'Fallon, Ill. 62269. Or e-mail: ahs-sta75@hotmail.com.
"It is especially difficult to reach our classmates because at that time period many families were leaving East St. Louis to relocate," Threlkeld said. "And to top it off AHS was eventually closed and turned into a prison."
Lack of access to registration records is making the classmate search process difficult, she said.
The class of 1975 was the first co-ed class upon a merger of St. Teresa Academy and Assumption Catholic High School.
