An O'Fallon apartment complex owner and its management company were named in a lawsuit filed by tenant Joseph Hillesheim, who claims he broke his ankle due to a hole in the parking lot.
Building owner Kent Carson and Trend Management are accused of failing to operate the building and land, located at 304 S. Lincoln, in a safe manner.
According to the complaint filed March 7 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Hillesheim claims he fell because of a hole in the parking lot situated next to his car causing serious and permanent injuries to his head, body and limbs, including a broken left ankle.
Represented by John Hustava of Collinsville, Hillesheim is seeking at least $50,000 in damages for pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost wages.
