Rotten floor at dairy prompts customer to sue

Prairie Farms and Prairie Farms Dairy (PFD) in Granite City was slapped with a lawsuit March 14 seeking at least $100,000 in damages from a man who claims he fell through a rotten floor at the dairy.

Robert Everage claims the dairy was negligent for his fall that happened Oct. 21, 2004, at 1800 Adams Street in Granite City. He claims he permanently injured both his knees.

According to the complaint, Everage has been and will be prevented from attending to his normal and usual affairs and duties and has lost and will continue to lose income that he would have otherwise made and acquired.

Everage is represented by Bob Perica of Alton, the case has been assigned to Circuit Judge George Moran.
