    The Estate of Elmer Gindler by Beverley Turner v. Lauren Cates
    J-Moran; PA-Randall Steele
  • Turner claims her father was driving westbound on Highway 162 in Collinsville when Cates allegedly collided with Gindler, causing his vehicle to go off road, down a steep embankment, into a ditch full of mud and water on Jan. 1, 2003. As a result, Turner claims her father suffered internal injuries that led to his death Sept. 7, 2003. Turner is seeking at least $50,000 in damages on two counts.

    John Koesterer v. Michael Case

  • Negligence: Koesterer alleges that Case built up earthen berms and concrete dams next to his property at 4262 Highway 162 in Granite City, which prevents proper water drainage onto his property. Koesterer also alleges that Case allowed trees, plants and weeds from his property to grow onto his. Koesterer’s three-count suit seeks $50,000 per count.

    Priscilla and Thomas Hawk v. Marilyn Schoenbaum

  • Priscilla Hawk claims Schoenbaum pulled out of a driveway at 5782 Moro Rd. and collided with her vehicle causing her injuries, some of which include her coccyx and buttocks. She is seeking at least $50,000 in damages. Thomas Hawk is seeking at least $50,000 in damages, claiming loss of consortium from his wife.

    Donna Zook v. Target Corporation

  • Zook alleges that on Dec. 10, 2002 at Target in Alton, a display case and shelf fell on her causing serious injuries. She is seeking at least $50,000 in damages.

    Patricia K. Taylor v. Prudent Investor Services

  • Taylor claims that after filing a workman’s compensation claim for a repetitive trauma injury that she developed during the course of her employment, she was not given an opportunity to return to work after recovering. She is seeking at least $50,000 in damages, claiming retaliatory discharge.

  • Jones claims that Tettamble was driving a flatbed trailer for Stock Transport when he collided with him at the Wal-Mart on Route 3 in Granite City on July 30. Jones is seeking $148,000 in damages.
