  • Sears filed a motion for substitution of judge. Sears' motion for dismissal is still pending and has yet to be rescheduled.

    Josephine Coleman ind. & on behalf v. America’s Moneyline
  • Case was called upon AML’s motion to compel arbitration. Arguments were heard and the court denied the motion. AML’s motion to stay pending appeal also was denied.

    Corrine Smith v. M&M Properties, Super 8 Motels
  • A new motion hearing was set for Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. due to continuance of Smith’s motion to dismiss.

    Leonard C. Wiseman v. Wildfire Restaurant dba Burger King
  • A civil jury trial was set for March 21, 2005.

    Darren Kuhn v. Petco Animal Supply
  • Objection to motion to dismiss venue based on interstate forum non conveniens filed by Kuhn.

    Vasquez Vernon v. St. Elizabeth Medical Center
  • Case called and heard by Judge Ralph Mendelsohn on St. Elizabeth Medical Center's motion for a summary judgment. Motion was denied.

    Premier Oil Holdings v. Village of Bethalto, Village of Wood River
  • Motion for leave to file a counter claim filed by Village of Wood River. Also last week, Premier Oil filed a motion for a continuance.

    Georgia Edwards v. Farmer's Insurance
  • Motion for admission Pro Hac Vice of Steven H. Weinstein is presented, considered and allowed. Weinstein of the Los Angeles firm Berger & Wollen LLP will be added to attorney of record. Also, a motion hearing was set for Nov. 5.

    Judy Kay Littleton v. Shelter Insurance
  • Shelter's motion to close courts file and enter final judgment called and heard. The court orders Shelter to deposit $23,366.58 for 90 days. Any remaining balance after 90 days will be returned to Shelter.

    Steven Faulkner v. American Express
  • Action is stayed by the U.S. District Court for Southern
    District Florida, Miami division. Judge Matoesian continued for 90 days.
