A Caseyville bowler claims she was injured after falling on sprayed wax.
Johnny Henson filed a lawsuit Feb. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against St. Clair Bowl, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on July 28, 2013, Henson was bowling at St. Clair Bowl, 5950 Old Collinsville Road, Fairview Heights, and an alley worker was waxing the next lane over. The suit says wax was accidentally sprayed onto Henson's lane, causing her to slip and fall.
The suit says the alley failed to maintain a safe premises, specifically, negligently and carelessly allowing wax to be sprayed incorrectly; failed to provide an appropriate warning; and failed to properly maintain its property. As a result, the lawsuit states, Henson was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled, suffering extensive injuries to his head, body and left knee; was made to expend money for medical care; and experienced pain and suffering.
Henson seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Kirk A. Caponi of Williams, Caponi and Associates in Belleville.
